Up in the air with Agne Šimanskyte

Agne is a blogger at Red Bull and a girl that absolutely nailed any sort of board sport! We can easily spend hours watching her extreeeeeme videos - the ones where she's kiting are our favourites. Not only a rising international board sports star, Agne is also a businesswoman, she co-founded Board Sports travel agency and a clothing shop chain. We wondered what's in her fridge and asked her how does she fit exercising, personal life and business in one day.

Breakfast: My favourite breakfast is oats with some fruits and yogurt - that's what I usually eat for breakfast - especially when I am travelling with my best friend Paula Novotna -  her oats are the best!

Energy: When you are doing loads of sports it's important to choose what to eat - unhealthy food steals energy! Therefore, I am trying to be very picky when choosing what's on my plate.

Routine: My days are very different and I travel a lot! If I'm not abroad, then I go to different cable parks and kite spots or head to indoor snowboarding dome in Lithuania, which is very exciting. Sometimes I miss having a daily routine. That said, waking up in my own bed feels like being on holiday! If I do manage to stay at home for a bit, then I'm never in a hurry - I take time to have long breakfast, grab a coffee and then head to “BoardSports” HQ to meet up with my team and do some office work. In the evening, I enjoy dinner with my friends at my favourite hometown restaurant called “Briusly".

BoardSports: BoardSports is the biggest player in action sports as well as in action lifestyle industry in Lithuania. We are not only owning the biggest shop, but we are also taking care of building a friendly community for people who love wakeboarding, kiteboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding… We are organising lots of events, camps, schools, competitions and sponsoring young talent.

Everybody can get involved - they simply need to give me a shout and I will show them the cool way of living ;)

Moment:I love many different action sports, but my favourite one is still kiteboarding. I really enjoy “golden hour” sessions at my home spot called “Svencele" in Lithuania.

Guilty pleasures: Wine. Guilty.

Playlist: Beyonce - Love On Top :)

Down the river with Swim Dem Crew

Swim Dem Crew meets every Saturday at different pools around London and invite others who shared a similar interest to come and join them. The Saturday sessions are often followed by food and socials.

It's a huge community of passionate swimmers - they swim when it's grim, cold, and rainy, and when most of the world would rather stay in bed (which obviously are Monday and Saturday mornings). But they are a crew and in the same sometimes lazy world there's noting better than holding hands with as crazy pals and jumping into a cold pond when the rest of us are still asleep.

We talked to the founder Peigh Asante about swimming, eating and other similarly good things.

Breakfast: what's usually in your breakfast bowl?

Usually I have Bran Flakes and warm almond milk, occasionally I throw in some raisins and cashews for extra crunch!

Crew: How did it all start?

Started back in 2013 when Myself, Nathaniel Cole and Emily Deyn were bored of swimming on our own. We wanted to swim and socialise with our friends so thats exactly what we did. Fast forward two years and we've now built a community around a love for swimming.

Cold Water Swimming: The thoughts of a nice hot flask of Rooibos waiting for me usually get me swimming on cold days. That and hot food :)

Training: I would love say I have a special diet but I really don't. I eat a lot of fish, in fact I think its safe to say 70% of my diet is fish. I'm totally a morning person and for that reason I like to train before breakfast.

Adventure: I'm not sure how big of an adventure this is, but it was a big deal to me... Last year I camped for the first time in 28 years of living on god's green earth. The camp was part of an open water swim, that starts at 4:30am and went upstream along the River Thames. At this point I didn't really have any open water experience and was pretty much still a novice swimmer, but was full of intrigue and determination.

I finished the swim with a thirst for more, and here we are today. :)

Guilty pleasures: (spill it!)  Harrisa Paste! I put it on absolutely everything!!!!

Inspiration:  The people around me inspire me. Friends, family, work colleagues, strangers. I get inspiration from everything. Lately the group of young adults we taught to swim have really, really inspired me.

On repeat:  This is constantly changing but as I type this it's:
